Casino Crocs opens in the Central Pacific of Costa Rica

The Central Pacific is one of the areas receiving more tourists in Costa Rica, due to its proximity to the Central Valley.
The entertainment center will be named Croc Casino Resort, is expected to start operation in December 2014. The building will be built on the north side of the community of Jaco.
Owners are Dag and Jennifer Hascall. He is the owner of a Michigan steel company and other businesses, her cousin, Rory Hascall, identified as an Executive in Las Vegas since long time ago, will operate and manage the business.
A press release said that Dag Hascall owned property but did not have a solid development plan, is then when Rory Hascall came into the picture.
Crocs Casino Resort represents an investment of at least $30 million, according to official sources, and the plan is to hire 300 employees. The statement said that this would make the casino the largest employer in the region.
The firm plans a center of 152 rooms and 44 residences condominio. The project aims to be a style casino Las Vegas with a pool facing the sea, restaurants, a nightclub, a spa, shopping and other attractions.
In relation to the name, the Central Pacific is also intended to be a habitat for crocodiles. A spokesman said that casino operators are well aware of the health of the reptiles and that they will maintain close veterinary services.
Jaco area is known for its crocodiles. A great attraction is the lookout on the bridge of the highway the waterfront on the Río Grande de Tárcoles where crocodiles are always resting in the waters of the river. With the habitat of the crocodile in Crocs, tourists can take a much closer look.
Dag Hascall chairs Hascall Steel Co., in Grandville, Michigan. But he is no stranger to overseas projects. A biography provided by the company said that you moved to Katmandu, Nepal, where it operated a company that manufactures handicrafts and jewelry exported and imported.
In Costa Rica signature PM architects designed the structure. Versions show a building of three tones with bridges that connect some of the upper floors to encompass an area open to the sea breeze. The company has established a Web site pre-sales of apartments.

Costa Rica will see revitalization of industry in 2013

This year 2013 promises to attract large amount of foreign investment which will be allocated to different sectors of the national economy.
The year 2012 was characterized in Costa Rica by the large influx of foreign investment and large buildings, offi-centers and hotels developments, not only in the tourist regions but also in the capital.

costa montañaThis year suggests that foreign investment will attract industrial, commercial, tourist and real estate companies. It includes also clothing shops, supermarkets, restaurants and others.

The Central Bank indicated that at the end of the year 2013 foreign direct investment would reach $2 250 million, which corresponds to a 2.27% above what was estimated in 2012.

Sectors where the investments will focus will be distributed in different sectors, for example 25% will be allocated to the sector of high technology, clean energy, and services that will be installed in zones. Residential projects will also be included in the sectors of Escazú and coastal as the Central Pacific and Guanacaste, establishment of shopping centers and hotels.

The real estate firm Colliers International, commented with outstanding artworks in the country that seek to end this year; in the 2011 consolidated the construction of 142 846 square meters and in 2012 about 964 103.

Sonesta Hotel and Casino aims to be the most significant hotel development of the greater Metropolitan Area and is scheduled to open in the first half of the year; with an investment of 40 million dollars and 171 rooms at 1500 square meters.

In Guanacaste is also expected to inaugurate the hotel Andaz papaya and San Jose Hotel Park Inn three stars.

The Director of the Costa Rican Coalition of Development Initiatives (CINDE), said is expected to consolidate at least 30 projects in the areas mentioned above for the next twelve months. This investment not only stimulates the economy but that in turn works as important generation of employment.

U.S. billionaire business magnate Donald Trump could expand his brand into Costa Rica. Trump is looking to develop hotels in Latin America.
The company’s first hotel outside the U.S. opened in July 2011 in Panama City. The Trump Ocean Club, the tallest building in Latin America, has been a success, said Eric Trump, Donald’s 28-year-old son. Costa Rica is Latin America’s fastest growing economy.
Eric Trump, an executive vice president for Trump Organization Inc. told that the they’re looking at Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Uruguay and Mexico as possible sites for expansion.
