Zollner Elektronik AG is a German company that will begin operating in Costa Rica soon.
The company announced on Wednesday that it will open a plant manufacturing and support services in the country, this will be the first plant of operations that installs Zöllner in Latin America.
According to the Costa Rican Coalition initiatives (CINDE) the installation of the plant will have an investment of 10 million dollars from the company, what you include from the purchase of the equipment, the construction of all its facilities physical, from this place provide services of engineering, development, support, and research. It will provide support to the US operations for Zollner based in California.
In accordance with the company aims to generate 200 jobs during the next three years, and this will include posts from management, human resources, technical and manufacturing personnel.
Gene Lindberg Gerente General de Zöllner CR Ltd, said that the company created an email address where you will be receiving resumes of people who are interested in applying to the various posts to jobs@zollner.cr.

Anabel González, Minister of Foreign Trade said that the arrival of this company "is a clear example of the diversification of the sources of foreign direct investment that Costa Rica has been able to attract".
Gonzalez also emphasized that a total of 40 new projects of high-tech direct foreign investment came to the country, coming from non traditional markets such as Japan, Korea of the South, India, Italy and Germany.
Last year's Costa Rica received a total of $2.265 million in FDI, 5% more than during 2011, according to official data, provided by La Nacion.
In the first quarter of 2013 FDI reached $866,3 million, up 41.3% obtained during the same period from 2012.
According to the company, Zöllner release is within the top 15 companies worldwide in electronics manufacturing.
