Costa Rica representatives together with other 11 countries will participate in the sample shopping flowers most important of America, according to the agency EFE.

For the year 2012 Costa Rica exported flowers for a value of $36 million to 23 destinations around the world.

In activity is expected to attend 1500 buyers and suppliers from different countries.

According to the news agency, more than 180 companies will be present in the Colombian capital Bogotá with the motive of entering Proflora, where besides Costa Rica, Holland, Israel, Spain, United States, Russia, China, Germany and Italy will be present.

Holland controls about 50% of international trade in horticulture and floriculture, in Latin America Colombia is one of the important countries internationally in the trade of flowers.

This European country was constituted in 2012 as the top exporter of ornamental plants in the world, with a stake of 50.4% of global sales, according to information from the Embassy of Colombia.

"Colombia, when dealing with the second as the leading exporter of flowers, is a great potential to expand our bilateral economic relations in this sector", said in a statement the Ambassador of Holland in the country, Robert van Embden.

Activity will feature various attractions, such as exhibitions, golf tournament, competitions of decor and ambience, and a party to close the activity.

According to Asocolflores event means a business opportunity for interested companies around the world. Its first edition took place in 1991 and has become the most important fair of flowers of America.
