However cannot be to stimulate and improve logistics in the country, therefore considers it important to invest in planning a five-year term which does improve the position and not sit behind.
One of the features that affected the position of Costa Rica was the cost, because it is considered high for exports as imports, compared to other countries such as Panama, where the cost is half per container, or in El Salvador where costs 40% less than in Costa Rica.
The above costs, include from the enterprise passes through the country, arrive at the port and then get to its final destination.
Costa Rica must also expand its improvement on the issue of port infrastructure; in this analysis also agrees the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), points out that there must be greater coordination to improve this area.
According to Monica Segnini, President of CADEXO (Chamber of exporters) there will be interest in that investment in roads, utilities and prepared staff, since corresponds to an effort of all.
