Thousands of tourists entered the country on Easter

Easter period lends itself so that national and foreign to move to areas of the country.
During Holy week about 85,000 tourists entered the country between 22 and 30 March, according to official data from the General Directorate of migration and aliens. In the same way some 113.000 people left Costa Rica to other destinations, including Nicaragua, United States, and Colombia.
According to the data, approximately 50,000 people left the country by the airport Juan Santa María and some 40 thousand through the checkpoint in Peñas Blancas, Guanacaste.
Interim Director of Migration Freddy Montero reported that there were also outflows of 12 600 tourists from Costa Rica airport Juan Santa María, 3 200 by the Sixaola port and 1 455 by the city of Los Chiles, in the North of Alajuela.
"It's more 113.000 leaving the country and more than 85,000 entering neatly for our migrant jobs. This says much of the orderly and efficient work that has been given in the country these days of Easter" said Montero.
In Costa Rica are two airports of great importance for the tourists, the international Daniel Oduber airport in Liberia, Guanacaste, and strategic point for those visitors wishing to visit the region of the North Pacific. This airport recorded an income of 24 000 people during this Easter 2013.
For visitors wishing to spend more time in the region of the Central Pacific, the Juan Santa Maria International Airport is located only one hour from this area. This same airport was which recorded higher number of inputs and outputs (95 000) during Holy week.
Due to the large population of Nicaraguans living in Costa Rica, the Penas Blancas border post, bordering Nicaragua accounted for more than 60 000 people during the week.
