Costa Rica among the most efficient management of electricity.

The rational use of electricity has become a struggle in Latin America, and the study revealed Intelligent Networks in Latin America of The Economic Commission for Latin America (ECLA). Where it is evident that much of the electricity is lost due to bad connections.

In this analysis three countries are placed in the first three places, with regard to demonstrating the efficiency in managing the electrical aspect. These countries are Chile, Paraguay and Costa Rica.

Boasting the third, Costa Rica is characterized by an institution like the Costa Rican Electricity Institute (ICE) which covers the vast majority of the territory. The remaining percentage is worked by private companies with whom they share the distribution and sale.

Companies CNFL, ESPH, JASEC, Coopelesca, among others, rural and municipal corporations, provide care efficiently and electricity production, selling to the ICE. This contributes to the country only has a 7% loss.

In every real estate project in which Costa Developers participates, is working on a strategy that provides savings and good management of electricity distribution, creating green buildings.

This study also determined the country with the most waste is Ecuador, with 44.8%, meaning that almost half of its electricity production is not used properly.
